service, there are basic steps that the individual can do to ensure
their household goods are properly
packed. First, make sure every item is properly wrapped to prevent

wrap is excellent for this. Also make sure to use strong, sturdy boxes.
Second, generate
a packing list. Packing lists should state what items are in each box.
Third, every box should be labeled with the ship-to address and box
number. The box number should then match with the packing list for easy
identification of contents.
Aerosol cans and other flammable items and should never be placed in
boxes by individuals who are moving. These can delay the shipment if
they are not properly packed. After packing is complete, contact
the shipping company and provide them with the exact number of boxes,
and dimensions of each package, as well as a copy of the packing list.
This information is required for the transportation company to provide
accurate freight quotes. If the individual is relocating overseas, then
they will
require the services of companies who provide containerization, or pods,
as well as any special documentation for shipment.
