Upon arrival at the proper destination, the cargo is then lifted off of the rail car, held in a designated inter-modal yard until it is picked up and delivered to the final destination.

Hazardous commodities are restricted articles which require special processing for shipping, blocking, bracing, and loading. These commodities can be delayed due to incompatibility with other materials which are being shipped.
